Who would have thunk it???

Well it seems that when is rains it storms... I have been applying for positions in International schools now for about 1 and 1/2 years now and I have finally gotten one. Well actually I was offered two as well as an interview for a position in the school I am presently working at. I was offered one in Kiev in the Ukraine as well as one in Belgrade in Serbia. After much research and tossing around of ideas I have decided to go to Belgrade in Serbia. The pay is less than Kiev but I think my life would be a little easier in Serbia. It is still a very good package. I get free accomodation and really small classes. Belgrade is more central than Kiev as well as the fact that there is an Australian Embassy there. Where in Kiev the embassy is run through the one in Moscow, which isn't necessarily ideal. Also the school is new, the whole building is new and expanding every year. I was going to publish some picture of Belgrade but I couldn't be assed now..
I am looking forward to a lighter work load. All I feel I have been doing here in the UK is work. Have rarely been out or really travelled that much. I have also decided to just hang out in the UK this easter break. I think I need a little respite. It has been go, go, go since I arrived.

This is actually a giant reindeer nose. It is an odd building that is known as Selfridges. Good shopping and shed loads of people here every weekend and in the afternoons. I don't get to see it during the day so I am not sure about then! Something to do with work interupts my not so busy social life.

And then there was snow

I love it in this country when it snows because everything stops. There was no school for anyone on these glorious SNOW days.
This effort took me and another antipodean about 20 minutes to construct. I would just like to say that I have actually grown a lot since I have been here, this is in fact a very large snowman. Ripley's believe it or not!!!!!
